Part three of our series of thinkers who have influenced Social Imaginaries Journal.

Craig Calhoun is one of our Editors-at-large, and, with Charles Taylor (from our previous post), Michael Warner, Dilip Gaonkar and Benjamin Lee, participated in the discussion published as “Modern Social Imaginaries Revisited: A Conversation” in the first issue of our journal. Calhoun is the director of the London School of Economics and is a prominent thinker in Critical Social Theory, public sociology, and in social imaginaries.

In this video, Calhoun discusses the imaginary dimension of reality created by human communities.
