Bernhard Waldenfels on ‘Phenomenology of Attention’

Now for part seven of influences and presences at Social Imaginaries. Introducing, Bernhard Waldenfels: one of our Editors-at-Large, who is also featuring in our upcoming November issue (Vol. 1, No. 2) in an article titled, ‘The Equating of the Unequal’. Waldenfels’s work draws from Husserlian and Schutzian variants of phenomenology, reconsidered toward the problem of ‘the stranger’ or ‘the other’, or in Wadlenfels’s terms, ‘the alien’.  In this video titled ‘The Phenomenology of Attention’, Waldenfels discusses modes of inclusion of the Other together with one’s own acting and thinking.
